Vahid Chamani is an Iranian painter and a full member of the Iranian Painters Association and the National Elite Foundation. He received his bachelor’s degree in Painting from Sooreh Art University in 2007, and his first professional appearance took place in 2005 with the exhibition of his works at Honar Gallery. Since then, his works have been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran, as well as in France, the Netherlands, and the United States.In his artistic style, Chamani creates a dreamlike and mysterious world marked by traces of Surrealism. These mythical and imaginative atmospheres are predominantly shaped through dark and warm color palettes, which have become his visual signature.He has received several important awards from reputable festivals and artistic events, including: selected artist of the 7th Iran Painting Biennial; Special Prize of the 2nd International Exhibition of Monotheistic Religions Illustration; Special Prize of the 3rd Youth Art Festival; selected artist of the Tehran Art Festival (2004); selected artist of the 4th International Biennial of the Islamic World (2006); finalist at the Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Prize in London (2009); and selected artist at the Art Bridge event in Washington, D.C. (2009).
