Iraj Eskandari, born (1335, Tehran), learned the basics of painting in Mashhad from Mansour Dolo. He graduated in the field of painting from the Art College of Decorative Arts (1353-1357). He completed a mural painting course in France (1358). He received a master’s degree in art research (1374) and a doctorate in art research (1384) from the University of Arts. He exhibited his paintings for the first time in the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce (1351). After the Islamic Revolution, his works have been presented many times in individual and group exhibitions in Iran and other countries. Eskandari worked for some time with the Islamic Propaganda Organization’s art field (1361) and for some periods he was in charge of the management of visual groups and the head of the Faculty of Visual Arts of the University of Arts.
