Davar Yousefi
Born in Khalkhal in 1963 Yousefi received a bachelor’s degree in painting in 1993 and a master’s degree in painting in 1996 from Islamic Azad University, Tehran branch. He became a member of the painting department of the same university in 1999, and since that time, he has been teaching painting and design in Al-Zahra, Azad and Soura universities along with his professional activity as a painter. Yousefi is a permanent member of the Iranian Painters Association and has been a member of the jury of several art festivals and symposia. He has held more than 190 group exhibitions in Iran, Canada, Italy, Greece, South Korea, Turkey, the UAE and Kuwait, and has also participated in the second and sixth biennials of the Contemporary Art Museum and Islamic World Biennials in the Saba Cultural Complex. In addition to the mentioned artistic records, we should also mention the presentation and sale of works in the 14th and 13th editions of the Tehran auction together with prominent artists of the country. Yousefi has designed and implemented several lasting mural projects with mosaic and concrete techniques in Tehran.
