Bahman Mohasses
Bahman Mohasses was one of the leading artists and trendsetters in the field of visual arts of Iran and one of the first Iranian painters who learned painting in the western way and mixed it with an eastern perspective. He was so avant-garde in creating works of art that for a long time, few people could follow his path. Many consider him influenced by “Picasso” and some even call him the Iranian Picasso; An artist who uses western techniques and views in his works, the presence of Iranian spirit in his works is undeniable. The works of Bahman Mohasses are among the most famous and of course one of the most expensive modern works of art in Iran. Bahman Mohasses, a painter and sculptor, was born on March 10, 1930 in Rasht and died in Rome in August 2009.
