Ali Akbar Sadeghi is a narrative painter. What makes him different is his new view of the world, literature and mythology. His style of work is considered a kind of Iranian surrealism based on traditional and coffeehouse painting. In most of his works, folk culture, Iranian mythology and Iranian pictorial traditions such as curtain reading have been recreated. The first prize of the book illustrators of Asia in 1978 for the book “Worship is not thought”, the first prize of the Leipzig festival in 1980 as the most beautiful book. And the first graphics award for the best book illustration of the year of Tehran in 1989 is among the awards that Sadeghi has received. ​
