“A talented visual Artist, Oluwaseyi Olaide James, is a vibrant lagos based creative, experimental and multimedia visual artist.
He was born in Lagos, Nigeria, Naturally, He has always been an artist who loves Drawings, Paintings and mixed media art and crafts.
Oluwaseyi obtained a Higher National Diploma in Art & Industrial Design, Lagos State Polytechnic ( now Lagos State University of Science and Technology) Ikorodu Lagos, Nigeria 2013 set, Painting major.
He also has a certification in PGDE, 2019.
He had participated in many group exhibitions, with his works in several private collections. Within this realm, His work varies from experimental, and representational to abstraction as He continuously moving along the continuum among the three.
His use of acrylics & mixed media is more interesting laying pigments one on top of the other media to create rich textual painting effects that radiate with energy which makes Him an extra ordinary visual artist.
He is currently running His special personnal art studio where young talented individuals are inspired, motivated and built under His tutorage.
Oluwaseyi works as a creative consultant to many Academic/learning environments by extension and as part of His commitment to give back to the society.
His works show strong affection-relationship between:
i.humans and its environment,
ii.Humans and pets, dolls/teddy bears…
all rendered in landscaping, Figurative, mixed media, Abstract expressionism
He is always aiming to evoke a sense of wonder and playfulness while inviting viewers to contemplate the intricate threads that bind us to our past, present, and imagined futures.
