Acting Diploma 1990
Graduated from the Department of Directing and Theatre Fundamentals at the Faculty of Literature
Graduated from the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1939
He was an Iranian painter, sculptor, poet, and playwright. He founded the “New Art Gallery,” which was the first gallery in Iran and one of the most important cultural centers of its time. Today, he is best known for his creative figures and metal sculptures that he made by assemblage of metal parts from industrial machinery and automobiles. His style is close to the art of Saqakhaneh, and lionesses and suns are among the subjects that often recur in his works. For this reason, he is remembered, along with several contemporary Iranian painters, as the pioneers of the Saqakhaneh school in Iran, which was formed in the early 1940s and is perhaps the first coherent Iranian school of painting.
Jazeh’s paintings and sculptures are in museums and private collections. His works have been exhibited in various countries and have won him 10 international awards. He died on 10 February 2007 at the age of 77.
