Roghayeh Najdi (born 1982, Tabriz) is a contemporary Iranian painter who, with a figurative and surreal approach, deals with issues such as identity, memory, and female experiences. Her works create narrative and psychoanalytic spaces by combining human and natural elements, poetic coloration, and symbolic signs;Spaces that sometimes suspend identity by blurring or deleting faces and turning figures into human symbols.
Najdi graduated in painting from Tabriz University of Art and Antwerp University of Art in Belgium, and has participated in various exhibitions and art fairs in Iran, Turkey, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, and the UAE.
Among her notable shows are “Crossing the Shadows” (1402, Bavan Gallery, Tehran), “Purification” (1399, O Gallery, Tehran), and two two-person shows with Naser Bakhshi titled “Tabriz – Parallel World” and “Observer and the Archive of Memory.”
She has also collaborated with the Nasser Bakhshi Museum on multimedia and archival projects, producing limited edition collections that combine painting, writing, and installation.
