Javad Nobahar
Javad Nobahar, a contemporary painter, was born in Tabriz in 1965. He began his art education at the Mirk Fine Arts Conservatory and received a diploma in painting in 1986. He then entered the School of Decorative Arts (University of Arts) and completed a bachelor’s degree in painting between 1988 and 1992. He also received a master’s degree in this field from the same university. In 2004, Nobahar became a member of the faculty of the University of Arts and began teaching painting at this university. It was in 1989 that he exhibited his works for the first time in a solo exhibition at the Golestan Gallery in Tehran. Since then, he has exhibited his works many times in galleries both inside and outside the country, both individually and in groups. Nobahar has been selected and won awards at the Second and Fifth Biennials of Contemporary Iranian Painting and the Second Biennial of Islamic World Painting.
