The Turkmen painter Anah Mohammad Tatari was born in 1957 in the city of Gonbad-e-Kavus. The painter’s works, in terms of their originality and richness of color, have a deep connection with traditional Turkmen culture and art. He entered the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Islamic Azad University in 1987 and, after receiving his bachelor’s degree, completed his postgraduate studies in this field at the same university.

Tatari’s first solo exhibition was held at the Sabz Gallery in Tehran in 1995, coinciding with his graduation. The artist’s first international appearance took place four years later at the Leighton House Gallery in London. Since then, Tatari’s prolific works have been exhibited many times as solo exhibitions in galleries in Iran, France, and the UAE.
