Parvaneh Etamidi started painting with Bahman Mohassas and is considered the only direct student of this artist. He entered the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran, but left his studies two years later. According to himself, Parvaneh Etimadi inherited his taste from Bahman Mohassas and his courage from Jalal Al-Ahmad. He challenges the common formulation of cognition and expresses long-familiar concepts with new meanings. This issue makes his comments face positive and negative reactions. Parvaneh Etemadi is known for his still life paintings and more specifically cement paintings in the 1971s.
